Senior Android engineer. Five years of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Kotlin Multiplatform. Currently own the AI chat & call module at Gopaddi, where I took 40% off our APK download size. Before that, I spent five years shipping my own products, including Gollie Chatbot (3,000+ installs, 4.2★ on Play Store) and NexxEd, which hit 700 signups in its first 24 hours.
Currently open to a new senior Android role. Remote, or relocation with sponsorship.
Senior Android contractor on a multi-developer team building a travel-booking platform. I own the AI chat and call feature end-to-end (architecture, implementation, Play Store release), and led the work that cut our download size by 40% by auditing resources and replacing heavy assets with lighter ones. Also stepped in as acting tech lead during the architect's absence and shipped a time-critical feature in under a week.
AI assistant powered by OpenAI's GPT models. I shipped it solo. Designed a dual-currency in-app economy (GEMs & Diamonds) integrated with Paystack for direct purchase, and AdMob rewarded-video ads for earned credits. Users could configure their own token-usage settings to control costs per conversation.
Social platform for Nigerian students. Started as a Kotlin idea in 2021, shipped as a Flutter cross-platform app in 2026. My first time writing production Flutter, after realising students needed iOS as much as Android. The launch numbers are the first signal that the problem was real.
Cloud invoicing app for small businesses: multi-entity support, itemised invoices, real-time payment reconciliation, and multi-device Firestore sync. Notable bit: the Firestore schema models businesses, items, invoices, and payments as linked collections, so invoice status updates derive themselves from the payment records. No manual state to keep in sync.
Social platform with a twist: each signup got a Stellar blockchain wallet generated for them. Hybrid architecture: Firebase Realtime Database for the social graph and messaging, Stellar SDK for the wallet layer. This one taught me more about caching strategies than any other project I've built.
I've been building Android apps for five years. Most of that time as the only engineer on whatever I was shipping, which is a fast way to learn what "production-ready" actually costs.
These days I'm at Gopaddi, where I own the AI chat and call feature module and took 40% off our APK download size. On the side, I still run my own products. NexxEd launched to 700 signups in 24 hours earlier this year, and Gollie Chatbot has been quietly compounding on Play Store since 2023.
I write on Medium mostly about Compose: state hoisting, side effects, recomposition performance, the small mistakes that quietly turn into performance bugs. I also founded Christophy LTD in 2026 as the entity I run client work through.
Looking for the next thing: a senior Android role somewhere I can go deep. Either a remote-first team, or a scale-up willing to sponsor relocation to the UK, EU, or Canada. Fintech, crypto-native, AI-product, and well-engineered consumer teams all catch my eye.
If you're hiring a senior Android engineer and anything on this page resonates, the fastest path to me is email. I reply to everything, usually within a day.
